About Me

My name is Nikki and I am 22 year old college student. No need to be evasive with my age; that is one of my pet peeves – especially when 20-somethings feel the need to resort to secrecies about how (not) old they are. Give me a break. Anyway, I’ve grown up in the utterly sunny, hot and humid state of Florida. I call the beach and Mickey my next-door neighbors. Currently, I am studying elementary education; that’s right, I am going to be a teacher and I could not be more excited about it. I have a slight obsession with Twilight, but so do the rest of my close friends for the most part. Although its safe to say that mine is a bit more advanced. Yes, at least I can admit it. I’m a sucker for a good love story.

I have an intense liking of Edgar Allen Poe; always have but lately its enhanced for some reason that I cannot explain. I don’t consider myself to be a dark individual by any means, but I guess you can say we all have a bit of darkness somewhere within ourselves. I also wanted to add, for no reason other than this is essentially the about me section, that Alphonse Mucha is my favorite artist.

I have never been truly in love and have a fear that the idea of it all is much better than the actuality, or reality, of it all. Hopefully I’m wrong.
